Bespoke Alcoves & Bookcases
Bespoke alcove units and bookcases are designed to make full use of your room’s natural spaces while adding character, storage and a beautifully fitted finish. Whether it’s either side of a chimney breast, a feature wall in a living room, or a full-height book display, each piece is made to measure and tailored to your home.

The process is the same high-quality, clear journey used for all my bespoke installations — simple, transparent and designed to give you confidence from start to finish.

1. Initial Contact
A quick chat or some photos help me understand the space and what you’re aiming to create.
If needed, I visit to assess alcoves, chimney breasts, walls and any obstacles (radiators, pipes, sockets).

2. Design Conversation & Ideas
We discuss:
• What you want the alcoves/bookcase to achieve
• Storage vs display needs
• Shelf spacing and layout
• Cabinet options (doors, drawers, TV sections)
• Style details: shaker doors, fluted columns, pelmets, cornice, skirting
• Colours and finishes

You receive a clear, detailed quote including:
• Final layout and design
• Materials and finishes
• Door style (if applicable)

4. Samples & Final Choices
I can drop off sample colours, internal boards, door samples and brochures.
Once you’re happy, I return to take exact measurements to ensure everything is perfectly fitted.

5. Booking Your Installation
Your installation date is secured with a deposit.

6. Manufacturing & Preparation
All panels, doors, shelves and trims are prepared in the workshop:
• Cutting
• Edging
• Spraying
• Cabinet construction
Every piece is made to measure for your alcoves.

7. Fitting Day(s)
Professional, tidy installation:
• Floor protection
• Accurate fitting into alcoves
• Scribing to walls, ceilings or chimney breasts
• Clean finishing and attention to detail
Most alcove/bookcase installations take 1–2 days, depending on size.

8. Completion & Sign-Off
The area is cleaned, all waste removed, and you get a final walkthrough to ensure you’re 100% happy with the finished piece.
