Bespoke Shaker Fitted Wardrobes – Beaconsfield

This bespoke fitted wardrobe installation in Beaconsfield is a great example of how carefully chosen colours, materials and detailing can bring a design together beautifully.
I have to give this client credit, as I think she absolutely nailed the colour combination. The Southwark Shaker doors in Mussel, featuring elegant double-stepped detailing, work beautifully alongside the Grey Bardolino Oak interiors and Windsor antique brass knobs.
I always enjoy sharing my experience and design ideas with clients who would like some guidance, but this particular client had a very clear vision of what she wanted. She’s actually training to become an interior designer, and I think her eye for colour and detail really shows in the finished result.
Interestingly, this was also a first for Bretton Carpentry. I’ve used Mussel for wardrobe interiors before, but this was my first installation using it for the external doors. It’s a colour that really needs to be seen in person. Photographs don’t quite capture its depth and character, and the finish has a wonderfully sophisticated, understated appearance.
For anyone considering Mussel for their own fitted furniture, I have physical door samples available so you can appreciate the colour, texture and quality of the finish before making a decision.
Behind the four Southwark Shaker doors, the wardrobes feature six spacious internal drawers, full-width hanging rails and overhead shelving. Every element has been carefully considered to maximise storage while maintaining a beautifully proportioned, seamless fitted appearance.
