Bespoke Shaker Cabinetry & Bookcase in Farrow & Ball Bay Area Blue – Old Chesham

This bespoke fitted furniture project in Old Chesham, Buckinghamshire, features traditional Shaker-style cabinetry, combining practical storage with a distinctive, elegant finish.
Designed and made to measure by Bretton Carpentry, the installation includes two floor-to-ceiling fitted cupboards, a central illuminated alcove with matching base cabinetry, and a recessed fitted bookcase.
The entire installation has been professionally spray-painted in Farrow & Ball Bay Area Blue, creating a beautifully coordinated finish throughout the room.

Working closely with the client, we developed a design tailored to their storage requirements and the layout of the room.
The recessed bookcase features fixed shelving, while the tall cupboards incorporate separate upper and lower doors, providing greater flexibility for organising and accessing stored items.
Lancaster Oak interiors offer a warm, natural contrast, complemented by soft-close hinges and practical internal shelving.
The alcove includes discreet lighting and a colour-matched cable grommet, spray-painted to match the worktop.
Distinctive cherry wood handles by Matilda Goad & Co., alongside matching cherry wood knobs with aged brass detailing, complete the design with a unique finishing touch.
