Bespoke Bookcases & Alcove Dresser in Berkhamsted

This was a lovely project we completed in Berkhamsted, featuring a large floor-to-ceiling bookcase and a matching alcove dresser.

There's some beautiful traditional detailing throughout, including fluted columns, decorative cornicing across the top, matching skirting boards around the bottom and a detailed worktop on the alcove dresser. These features help both pieces blend naturally into the room, giving them the appearance of furniture that's always been there.

The alcove dresser features Ogee moulded cupboard doors, with practical storage below and open shelving above. The matching bookcase provides plenty of space for books and decorative pieces.

Both units were professionally spray-painted in Farrow & Ball Pavilion Gray, a lovely colour that really brings out the detail in the woodwork.

At Bretton Carpentry, we take pride in the finer details that make fitted furniture feel part of the home.

Whether it's traditional fluted columns, decorative cornicing, matching skirting boards, detailed worktops or beautifully moulded cupboard doors, we can tailor the design to suit the character of your property.

We also offer simpler, more contemporary designs, with a wide choice of finishes, colours and internal layouts.

Every project is made to measure, carefully installed and finished to a high standard, with professionally sprayed Farrow & Ball colours available.
